{ training tuesday: 1/2 edition }
"Training wha....?" you say.
"Training Tuesday" I reply. "Sneaker up."
I've been, most shamefully, on hiatus, both from blogging and from a lot of my daily activities.
And while on the one hand, I've been enjoying some wonderful visits and travels and good ol' unplugged family time, the other hand has been gleefully stuffing my face with Christmas cookies and big breakfasts and something called "Pizza Dip", which should be illegal in all 50 states.
Twas the season, right?
A little over-indulgence from time to time is ok. I'm all about moderation. However, I usually temper the higher calorie days with more physical activity, to compensate for the blow. Unfortunately, this December, I was not so motivated and I can already feel the negative side effects.
No sense dwelling on what I can't change.
On this, the first Tuesday of 2012, I get back in the swing of things. The weather is perfect for some outside walks and bike rides, and I'm hoping that the whole family will be on board with taking advantage of the crisp air and sunshine.
Ok. Maybe not Molly. She's kind of a diva about having to do something as mundane as walking. Perish the thought and all.
I'm not one for making resolutions. It's too easy to let them go by the wayside after the initial burst of dedication. However, I am promising myself to return to my consistent, five-day-a-week fitness regimes, in order to keep myself fit and feeling great and full of energy.
